Throughout your journey as athletes, you have demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship both on and off the court. Your tireless efforts, countless hours of practice, and unwavering determination have not only shaped you into outstanding volleyball players but also into remarkable individuals.
As you move forward, remember that success is not merely defined by the number of victories you achieve, but by the character you exhibit both on and off the court. Stay true to your values, continue to work hard, and strive for excellence in everything you do. The lessons you have learned through volleyball will undoubtedly guide you towards success in all aspects of life.

Favorite ACT Memory: All of the out-of-state tournaments!
Fun Fact: I did dance for 5 years.
Advice for the younger volley players: Volleyball is a game of mistakes, refocus. Refocus and keep your game no matter the error.
Emerson Ahsmuhs
Position: Outside Hitter

Favorite ACT Memory: Winning the Texas Tournament
Fun Fact: I have pet skunks.
Advice for the younger volley players: Treasure every minute with your teammates.
Clairissa Taylor
Position: Middle Blocker
Years in ACT: 5 years
Favorite ACT Memory: Travel tournaments and hanging out with my team!
Fun Fact: I'm a good whistler.
Advice for the younger volley players: You are who you want to be. Hard work pays off and no one can define you.
Jill Hitt
Position: Libero
Years in ACT: 6 years
Favorite ACT Memory: Axe Throwing in Utah and Winning at AAUs last year.
Fun Fact: I'm left handed
Advice for the younger volley players:Create a strong bond with your team because these will be some of the most important people in your teenage years.
Haylee Long
Position: Opposite
Years in ACT: 3 years
Favorite ACT Memory: Becoming best friends with all my teammates.
Fun Fact: I was a gymnast for 7 years before I started playing volleyball.
Advice for the younger volley players: Work hard and have fun because it goes by fast!
Makalin Goerhing
Position: Right Side
Years in ACT: 6 years
Favorite ACT Memory: Winning in Dallas
Fun Fact: I played soccer for 8 years.
Advice for the younger volley players: Get 1% better at something every day.
Cooking Class
Most of the team has been with ACT volleyball since middle school and we are very proud of the team’s accomplishments. This team will send at least 8 players off to college to play volleyball next year. To finish the season on a high note, the club organized a special event for the entire team. The girls were treated to a cooking lesson at Sur La Table in Newport Beach!
We are proud of these girls and all that they’ve accomplished, athletically and academically. They’ve represented ACT well throughout their club volleyball journey and we’re excited to see what the future holds for them on and off the court in the next few years.
